On December 18, 2022, Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador to Kuwait, attended the trial operation ceremony of the medical insurance hospital of the Kodman Hospital Group. Ghanim, Director of the Investment Bureau of Kuwait, Mutrig, Chairman of Dammam Hospital Group, Ibrahim, Chairman of the Medical Association, Hussein, Chairman of the Federation of Industries, and representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises attended the ceremony. According to reports, the Kuwait medical insurance hospital project is led and implemented by Shanghai Baoye, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group. It is an EPC general contracting project integrating design, procurement, construction, overhaul and maintenance. Each hospital includes a main hospital building with 300 beds and a parking building with 547 parking spaces. The Kuwait Medical Insurance Hospital Project is a large-scale general hospital project in Kuwait that specifically opens medical insurance services to foreigners. It includes two hospitals, located in Ahmadi Province and Jahra Province, with a total construction area of about 85,000 square meters. The project amount About $500 million.
