On December 22, 2022, the bidding announcement of RTSHTJ-01~08 bid for civil construction of Nanxun Changxing Section of Rudong Suzhou Huzhou Intercity Railway via Nantong was released. For example, the whole Zhejiang section of Tongsu Lake Intercity Railway will be officially started in February 2023, with a planned construction period of 5 years.

Project overview

The section from Nanxun to Changxing of the Nantong Suzhou Huzhou Intercity Railway starts from Shenzhuangyang Village, Nanxun Town, the provincial boundary between Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and ends at Changxing Station, with a total length of 64.8 km and a design speed of 160 km/h. There are 11 stations along the line. One new Hongqiao Town depot, one control center, two traction power joint construction posts, one section post and 12 repeaters will be built. The total investment of the project is 27.508 billion yuan. The construction site is located in Huzhou City and is planned to be completed in 2027.

Scope of bidding and division of bid sections

Bidding scope: upper and lower structures and ancillary works of viaduct section; Section tunnels and auxiliary structures; Station foundation, main structure and auxiliary structure; Subgrade works and ancillary works; Enclosure structure, three reconstruction projects (road, river, canal), bridge demolition and reconstruction projects, traffic relief, road restoration projects, etc; Embedded parts and reserved holes for decoration, electromechanical engineering, etc; Temporary works and other works, but not limited to the completion of the above civil construction, defect repair during the defect liability period and warranty period.

The bidding is divided into 8 sections:

Lot RTSHTJ-01: Scope of implementation: Zhejiang Jiangsu Provincial Boundary Yangnan Station, starting and ending chainages are DK236+471.908-DK244+781.808, in which the first section DK242+711.908 ～ DK243+731.808 only includes 15 simply supported beam fabrication and transportation frames and auxiliary structures of the upper structure; Watertown tourism line; Wuxing connecting line, with a mileage of about 14.2km.

It includes Nanxun Station, Nanxun Viaduct Super Major Bridge, Hugu Suhu Super Major Bridge, Shuixiang Line Super Major Bridge over Xunlian Highway, Shuixiang Line Super Major Bridge No. 2 on the left line, Shuixiang Line Super Major Bridge No. 2 on the right line, Shuixiang Line Super Bridge No. 1 on the left line, Shuixiang Line Super Bridge No. 1 on the right line, Wuxing Line Middle Bridge on the left line, Wuxing Line Super Bridge on the right line, and Liangchang. The estimated cost of the construction and installation project is 1.48 billion yuan.

Lot RTSHTJ-02: Scope of implementation: Yangnan Station Zhili Balidian Elevated Section, with a mileage of about 14km, including Yangnan Station, Hugo Hangzhou Expressway Grand Bridge, Zhili Grand Bridge (including the continuous beam with a maximum single span of 125m), Zhili Station and beam yard. The estimated cost of the construction and installation project is 1.56 billion yuan.

Lot RTSHTJ-03: Scope of implementation: Zhili Balidian open cut section Qiaonan Village Yinshan Second Road elevated section, with a mileage of 10.95km, including No. 1 subgrade, Yishan Tunnel, shield section, Balidian Station, Balidian Grand Bridge, Qiaonan Village Station, G50 Grand Bridge and beam yard. The estimated cost of the construction and installation project is 2.13 billion yuan.

Lot RTSHTJ-04: Scope of implementation: Qiaonan Village Yinshan Second Road Open cut Section Yinshan First Road Station, with a mileage of about 4.08km, including shield tunnel section and Yinshan Second Road Station. The estimated cost of the construction and installation project is 1.27 billion yuan.

Lot RTSHTJ-05: Implementation scope: Yinshan 1st Road Station - Taihu Road Station, with the implementation mileage of about 3.724km, including Yinshan 1st Road Station and shield section of about 3.508km. The estimated cost of the construction and installation project is 1.04 billion yuan.

Lot RTSHTJ-06: Scope of implementation: Taihu Road Station Tuying Hongqiao Town Viaduct 1 Section, with a mileage of 6.37km, including Taihu Road Station, shield section, Bianshan Tunnel, No. 2 Subgrade, Bianshan Bridge, No. 3 Subgrade, Tuying Viaduct Station Bridge, Tuying Station, Zhawang Mountain Grand Bridge. The estimated cost of the construction and installation project is 1.48 billion yuan.

Lot RTSHTJ-07: Implementation scope: subgrade section from Tuying to Hongqiao Town - Hongqiao Town Station, rolling stock depot and entrance/exit line. The implementation mileage is about 5.26km, including No. 4 subgrade, Tuying Tunnel, Xiasunzhuang Grand Bridge, No. 5 subgrade, Hongqiao Town Viaduct Station Grand Bridge, Hongqiao Town Station, Hongqiao Town Vehicle Depot Yard, Hongqiao Town Depot Production and Living Houses, Hongqiao Town Depot Entrance Line Grand Bridge, Hongqiao Town Depot Entrance Line Foundation Extra large bridge for the outgoing line of Hongqiao Town depot, subgrade and beam yard for the outgoing line of Hongqiao Town depot. The estimated cost of the construction and installation project is 1 billion yuan.

RTSHTJ-08 bid：Scope of implementation: Hongqiao Town Station Changxing Station Viaduct Section, with a mileage of about 8.017km, includes Changxing Grand Bridge, Changxing Station, Wangjiabang Grand Bridge and beam yard.
