The existing Yiwu Station was built in 2006. Due to the rising passenger flow at the station, the existing passenger transfer facilities, organizational mechanism and operation mode gradually cannot adapt to the modern comprehensive transportation mode.

The reconstruction and construction of Yiwu Station is carried out above the existing high-speed rail. When the high-speed rail trains are not stopped, the existing overpass is demolished and a new fully elevated station building is built. In order to ensure construction safety, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. organized several plan review meetings and pre-construction coordination meetings to study and analyze safety risks in advance and implement control measures.

The appearance of the newly built Yiwu Station building is in harmony with the existing traffic complex in front of Yiwu Station. It adopts two minimalist tones of blue and white, reflecting a modern and simple style, which is steady yet elegant. After the elevated station building is completed, a comprehensive transportation hub integrating high-speed rail, public transportation, taxis, online car-hailing, private cars and other transportation modes will be put into use, further enhancing Yiwu's transportation location advantages.

The Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway under construction starts from Tonglu East Station in Hangzhou City in the north, passes through Jinhua City and Taizhou City in the south, and finally arrives in Wenzhou City, where it will be introduced into the reconstructed Wenzhou South Station. The newly-built main line has a total length of 260 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are 9 stations on the whole line: Tonglu East, Pujiang, Yiwu, Hengdian, Pan'an, Xianju, Nanxi River, Wenzhou North and Wenzhou South. The project construction is divided into two phases, the first phase is the section from Yiwu to Wenzhou, and the second phase is the section from Hangzhou to Yiwu.

The Jinyong Railway under construction is located in the central and eastern part of Zhejiang Province. It is a newly built double-track railway with both passenger and freight, and it is also the first railway in the Yangtze River Delta region that can pass double-decker high-box container trains. After completion and opening to traffic, a fast lane will be set up between Ningbo Zhoushan Port and Yiwu Mainland Port.

The total length of the line is about 188.3 kilometers, passing through Yunlong, Fenghua, Xikou, Xinchang, Shengzhou Xinchang, Nanshan Lake, Hulu (reserved), Dongyang, Suxi, Yiwu and other stations, among which the new Fenghua, Xikou, Xinchang, Shengzhou Xinchang, There are 5 stations in Dongyang.

Recently, the Xinchang Super Bridge, a key control project along the entire line of the Jinyong Railway, was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the project to be completed and opened to traffic as scheduled.

In addition, there is another freight station in Yiwu—Suxi Container Handling Station, which is about to start construction. This station is the core carrier of Ningbo Zhoushan Port's "sixth port area". —Ningbo Zhoushan Port import and export sea-rail combined transport business, the design annual delivery capacity can reach 660,000 TEUs at the initial stage.

At present, the sea-rail intermodal train from Yiwu to Ningbo Zhoushan Port runs steadily three times a day, and the highest monthly business volume exceeds 16,000 TEUs.

From the "road market" to the world supermarket "buy the world and sell the world", the development of Yiwu is inseparable from the smooth and fast logistics channels.

Here, there is the China-Europe Railway Express with the longest operating mileage in the world, passing through 8 countries from the starting point in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province to the ending point in Madrid, Spain.
