On December 27, 2022, the Beijing Public Resources Trading Service Platform announced the candidates for winning the bid for the new Tianjin Weifang High Speed Railway Station Project. The project is divided into nine bid sections, which were won by 9 units, including China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau and China Railway Seventh Bureau. The total bid price is about 22.45 billion yuan.

The newly-built Tianjin Weifang high-speed railway line starts from Binhai Station of Tianjin Terminal, passes through Binhai New Area of Tianjin, Cangzhou City of Hebei Province, Dezhou City, Binzhou City, Dongying City and Weifang City of Shandong Province, and ends at Weifang North Station of Jiqing High speed Railway. The main line is 348.257 km long, with 10 stations. Expansion of Binhai West EMU Operation Station, construction of Tianjin Weijin Qinhuangdao connecting line, Tianjin Weijing Binhai connecting line and other supporting projects of Tianjin hub. New Tianjin Weihai Jinan Qingdao connecting line, Weifang North Depot, Dongying South Depot, Binzhou Station, Dongying South Station, Weifang North Station and other related supporting projects.
