On December 28, 2022, all units of Kazakhstan Borey Project and ET Project were successfully connected to the grid with full capacity, marking the first step of Yunda's entry into the Central Asian market and the successful conclusion of the company's overseas sector in 2022.

The two projects are located in the suburb of Astana, the world's second largest cold city, in Kazakhstan. A total of 30 WD172-5000 (5.0MW) units are installed, with a total installed capacity of 150MW. They are the largest projects in Central Asia so far. The hub height of the unit is 100 meters, and the impeller diameter is 172 meters. It is also the unit with the largest single unit capacity and impeller diameter in wind power projects in Kazakhstan. After the project is fully put into operation, it is expected to bring 600 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the local area every year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 480000 tons, which will provide a strong guarantee for the local residents' high-quality ecological environment.

With the successful completion of the hoisting of 30 units of the project at the beginning of last month, the project team faced the challenge of Kazakhstan's cold winter. In the freezing environment of minus 38 degrees, the project team members encouraged each other to meet the challenges together. In the spirit of the carrier who is not afraid of hardships and faces difficulties, we have made solid technical disclosure, strictly implemented the action plan, quickly launched the commissioning with excellent professional skills and customer first service attitude, and completed the full capacity grid connection at one time after the project power transmission, which has been highly recognized and appreciated by the owner.

This is another successful practical experience of Yunda in implementing the "Two Seas Strategy" and promoting the development of overseas markets, and also a new starting point for the company to help "make the Silk Road brilliant". Next, the project team will continue to actively promote the unit operation and maintenance work with high morale and solid skills, so as to create new brilliance for the company in Central Asia, and set a typical example for other projects in the region.Editor/Xing Wentao
