The year 2022 just passed is destined to leave a thick and colorful page in the history of China Kazakhstan relations. Over the past year, in the face of the complex international situation, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China and Kazakhstan have remained calm, supported each other, and firmly moved forward. We have solemnly celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, steadily promoted practical cooperation in various fields, steadily addressed various risks and challenges, promoted the development of bilateral relations towards a more mature and stable direction, and constantly made new achievements and breakthroughs.

During the year, the two heads of state had frequent interactions and political mutual trust continued to increase.   We will never forget that at critical moments that involve national core interests and each other's future and destiny, China and Kazakhstan have always stood firmly together and demonstrated the high level and particularity of China Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership with practical actions.

  China respects Kazakhstan's independently chosen development path, supports its vision of building a "just Kazakhstan", and contributes to Kazakhstan's reform process by deepening bilateral cooperation. At the same time, when some countries brandish the human rights baton, manipulate Taiwan, Xinjiang and other issues, and attempt to interfere in China's internal affairs and curb China's development, Kazakhstan resolutely stands on the just side and gives a firm voice in support of China.

Recently, the 20th Congress of the CPC was successfully held, and President Tokayev won the general election. The two heads of state congratulated each other, once again demonstrating the strong will of both sides to support each other and deepen friendly cooperation.

During the year, China Kazakhstan economic and trade cooperation grew strongly and delivered a satisfactory answer.

According to Chinese customs statistics, in the first 11 months of this year, the trade volume between the two countries reached 28.22 billion US dollars, an increase of 23.1%, and is expected to exceed 30 billion US dollars for the whole year. The strategic goals set by the two heads of state have been fulfilled ahead of schedule, and China has remained Kazakhstan's second largest trade partner and second largest export destination. In June, Kazakhstan became the second country to set up a national pavilion on Alibaba's platform. At present, more than 200 Kazakh enterprises have settled in the platform, with a cumulative sales of 168 million dollars. Green agricultural products such as flour, honey, flaxseed, camel milk powder are favored by Chinese consumers.

Not long ago, a delegation of the Xinjiang government visited Kazakhstan to hold a promotion conference on economic, trade and investment cooperation between China's Xinjiang and Kazakhstan, and reached a total cooperation intention of about 1.37 billion yuan. The production capacity cooperation between China and Kazakhstan has yielded fruitful results. The Asian Steel Pipe Plant has been completed and put into operation. The Sherek Wind Power Project has been connected to the grid for power generation. Huantai Energy has successively won several wind power projects in Kazakhstan, playing a good exemplary role in the international cooperation of the "the Belt and Road".

During the year, China Kazakhstan people to people and cultural exchanges have been steadily promoted with many highlights. At the beginning of the new year, the two sides jointly welcomed the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. The promotional film of the Winter Olympic Games was put on the big screen in Almaty, and the Winter Olympic Party was held in Qiongbulak Ski Resort. The wonderful appearance of the Kazakh delegation at the opening ceremony was hot on microblog. The Beijing Winter Olympic Games became a big stage to show the brotherhood between China and Kazakhstan.

Over the past year, we have celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kazakhstan in a variety of ways. Youth fellowship, painting competition, cultural exhibition, song competition, new book release, academic discussion, media exchange, tourism promotion, film screening and other activities have been held in many places of the two countries successively. The theme song "Our Thirty Years" jointly created by Chinese and Kazakh students has been widely sung, and the people of the two countries continue to deepen their understanding of each other, The concept of China Kazakhstan friendly cooperation is more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

This year, direct flights between the two countries will resume, border ports will be opened soon, and personnel exchanges will be more convenient. The two sides also held close consultations on the establishment of mutual cultural centers, Luban workshops in Kazakhstan and other issues, and worked hard to create a more efficient model and a more convenient platform for bilateral people to people and cultural exchanges.

Looking back on the past year, we firmly believe that the best way for China and Kazakhstan to get along is to help each other in the same boat and achieve win-win cooperation. As long as China and Kazakhstan work together, the road of common prosperity and development between the two countries will become wider and smoother. The first 30 years of China Kazakhstan relations have been recorded in the annals of history, and the next "golden 30 years" await our joint creation.
