On December 30, 2022, the first section of the Pingyan Railway renovation project designed by Tiesiyuan officially started.
Pingyan Railway Reconstruction Project
According to reports, the line of the Pingyan Railway Reconstruction Project starts from the Pinghu South Station of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway, passes through Longgang and Yantian, and ends at the Zhonggang District Station of Yantian Port. There are 3 stations on the whole line: Pinghu South Station, Zhonggang District Station and Donggang District Station.
The long-term sea-rail combined transport volume is about 3.6 million TEU/year, accounting for 20% of the throughput of Yantian Port, of which the inland port of Pinghu Lake is about 1.2 million TEU/year. The total investment of the project is about 7.209 billion yuan. The construction period is 4 years.
The first section of the Pingyan Railway renovation project is a control project for the entire line, with three nodes in the Anliang Inclined Shaft of the Henggang Tunnel, the Yantian Inclined Shaft, and the Donggang District Branch Line Tunnel, with a total investment of about 281 million yuan.
The Anliang Inclined Shaft Project is located in Longgang District, providing a construction face for shield tunneling and mining method tunnels. The total length of the inclined shaft is about 775 meters.
The Yantian Inclined Shaft Project is located in Yantian District, providing a construction face for mining tunnels and serving as a checkpoint during the operation period. The total length of the inclined shaft is about 226 meters.
The Donggang District Branch Line Tunnel Project diverges from the Beishan Line and connects to Donggang District Station. The total length of the tunnel is 2,210 meters.
