Recently, the Development and Reform Commission of Yunnan Province has approved the feasibility study report on the reconstruction and expansion of three secondary highways of National Highway G219. Details are as follows:

Yunnan Mengla Hongqiao Lvchun Lixianjiang Reconstruction and Expansion Project

The total length of the project is 116.644km, of which 48.575km is used for the section from Zhidong to Jiangcheng, and 68.069km is reconstructed and expanded. It starts from the junction of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, and Jiangcheng County, Pu'er City, and connects with the end point of the reconstruction and expansion project of Mengxing Hongqiao Section of Yunnan Mengla National Highway G219; The Lixianjiang Xiaqiao Bridge, which ends at the junction of Pu'er City and Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, connects with the starting point of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Lixianjiang Lvchun section of National Highway G219. The reconstructed and expanded sections shall be constructed according to the standard of two lane Class II highway, with the design speed of 40km/h, the subgrade width of 8.5m and 12m. The designed vehicle load level of bridges and culverts shall be highway – Class I, and other technical indicators shall be in accordance with the Technical Standards for Highway Engineering (JTG B01 – 2014). There are 105 bridges and 52 grade crossings on the main line. The estimated total investment of the project is 2.348 billion yuan.

Main control points: Hongqiao, Manlaojiang, Mantan Village, Mamushu, Sijiang Class II Highway, Jingdongzhai, Jiangcheng County, Guoqing Township, Mingzishan Pass, Liangzizhai, Jiahe Township, and Lixianjiang Xiaqiao.

Yunnan Lancang Muga Ximengsuo Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project

The main line of the project is 61.314km long, 18.833km reconstructed and expanded, and 42.481km newly built. It starts from Fumeng near the west side of Muga Township, Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er City, and connects with the end point of Gangmo Biaoshan Muga Section of National Highway G219; It ends at the south side of Mengsuo Town, West League Wa Autonomous County, Pu'er City, and connects with the starting point of the reconstruction and expansion project of the West League Mengsuo Menglian Nayun Section of National Highway G219. It is constructed according to the standard of two lane Class II highway, with the design speed of 40km/h, the subgrade width of general sections of 8.5m, and the subgrade width of Ximeng County section of K57+940 ～ K62+363 of 12m. The design vehicle load grade of bridges and culverts is highway – I, and other technical indicators are implemented according to the Technical Standards for Highway Engineering (JTG B01 – 2014). There are 88 bridges and 2 tunnels on the main line. 31 grade crossings and 2 separated grade crossings are set. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 2.2 billion yuan.

Reconstruction and Expansion Project of Mengsuo Menglian Nayun Section of Yunnan Ximeng

The total length of the project is 42.439km, starting from the south side of Mengsuo Town, West League Wa Autonomous County, Pu'er City, and connecting Lancang Muga of National Highway G219 to the end point of Mengsuo of West League; It ends at the northwest side of Hela Xinzhai, Nayun Town, Menglian Dai, Lahu and Wa Autonomous County, Pu'er City, and connects with the Menglian Lancang section of National Highway G219. It is constructed according to the standard of two lane Class II highway. The design speed of each section is 40km/h and 60km/h. The subgrade width is constructed in sections of 8.5m and 12m. The design vehicle load grade of bridges and culverts is highway – I, Other technical indicators shall comply with the Technical Standards for Highway Engineering (JTG B01 – 2014). There are 33 bridges and 79 grade crossings on the main line. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 1.475 billion yuan.
