A few days ago, Myanmar Kyeong Photovoltaic Power Station, the first batch of photovoltaic projects invested by PowerChina Overseas Holdings, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation, realizing the commencement and production of the same year.
Jingrong Photovoltaic Power Station is the first project put into operation in Myanmar's first 100-megawatt photovoltaic project group invested and constructed by China Power Construction Corporation. The project is located in Magui Province, Myanmar, with a total installed capacity of 40.28MWp and an average annual on-grid power of 64641400 kWh.
There are five sub-projects in the photovoltaic project group in central Myanmar, which are composed of five photovoltaic projects, namely, Zottaya, Jingrong, Xuejing, Xida and Jingda. It is the largest new energy project in Myanmar. The total investment of the project group is about US $149 million, the grid-connected capacity is 160 MW, and the annual power generation capacity is 342 million kWh, which can meet the power consumption of 1 million rural households in Myanmar. The project cluster is located at the key node of the the Belt and Road construction and the Bangladesh China India Myanmar Economic Corridor, which is highly consistent with the the Belt and Road initiative, effectively improving the current situation of power shortage in Myanmar and promoting local economic and social development.Editor/Ma Xue
