At the beginning of the new year, China Railway Bridge Bureau grabbed the golden period of operation, and as a member of the consortium, won the bid for the Three Gorges Zhangpu Phase II offshore wind power project, with a winning amount of 3.057 billion, achieving a good start in 2023.

The planned site of the winning project is located in the offshore sea area on the southeast side of the Liu'ao Peninsula in Zhangpu, with an area of about 22.9 square kilometers. The site is 30.3 to 36.7 kilometers away from the Liu'ao shoreline in the west, 32.8 kilometers away from the shoreline in the center, and the theoretical water depth is 26 to 40 meters. The total installed capacity of the project is 400 MW. The planned unit capacity is 8 sets of 13 MW, 13 sets of 14.3 MW, and 7 sets of 16 MW+wind turbines. The hub center height is 150 meters. A 220kV sea booster station will be built. After the wind turbine units are boosted by the unit booster transformer, they will be connected to the 220kV sea booster station through 35kV submarine cable. After the voltage is boosted to 220kV through the sea booster station, they will be sent out and connected to the onshore centralized control center under construction through two 220kV AC submarine cables. The onshore centralized control center will be connected to the power grid through overhead lines.

The project plans to complete the grid connection of the first batch of units by the end of August 2023, complete all foundation construction and submarine cable laying by the end of December 2023, complete the grid connection of 23 wind turbines, complete the grid connection of all units by the end of October 2024, and complete the completion acceptance by the end of June 2025.

It is reported that this project is the first offshore wind power project in southern Fujian, and the first wind farm of the Three Gorges Group in the southern Fujian shoal.
