The first phase of the Ezhou Airport Expressway starts from the south interface of Huahu Airport and ends at the Wuhuang Expressway. It adopts the standard construction of a two-way six-lane expressway at 120 kilometers per hour. With a total length of 13.042 kilometers, it is the first smart expressway in Hubei Province.

Project Overview

Construction site: Huangshi City, Ezhou City, Hubei Province.

The project is constructed in a franchise mode, located in Huangshi and Ezhou, Hubei, starting from the northwest side of Tingzu Town, Ezhou, the terminal of the first phase of the airport expressway, Chenqiao Junction, passing through Bishi Town, Huandiqiao Town, and passing through Wuyang Expressway Baoan Town, Zhashan Town, and the terminal point is docked with Exian Expressway. The total length is about 30 kilometers, including about 22 kilometers in Huangshi and 8 kilometers in Ezhou. The total length of the bridge is about 9 kilometers, accounting for about 30% of the total length of the route, of which: the main line super bridge is about 4087 meters / 3 seats, of which the main line spans the Wujiu Railway super bridge with a total length of about 1433 meters, and the Zhushan Ganghe super bridge It is about 1507 meters long, and the main line crosses Gangmao first-class road super bridge with a total length of about 1147 meters; the bridge is 4434 meters / 12 seats; the medium and small bridges are 329 meters / 5 seats; there are 7 interchanges and 65 culverts. There are 4 ramp toll stations and 1 service area on the whole line. The whole line of the project adopts the design speed of 120 km/h and the standard of two-way six-lane expressway with a roadbed width of 34 meters. The estimated contract price is 6.5 billion yuan.

The second phase of the Ezhou Airport Expressway project can provide transportation support for promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and promoting the high-quality development of the central region. After the completion of the whole line, Huangshi Airport Economic Zone will realize seamless connection with Ezhou Huahu Airport, which will help promote the high-quality development of Huangshi. Not only that, as the main collection and distribution expressway of Ezhou Huahu Airport, the project has strengthened the integrated connection of Wu-E-Huang-Huang transportation and further improved the road network structure. It provides strong support and guarantee for improving the multimodal transport system of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, serving the rapid distribution of Huahu Airport and surrounding supporting industries, promoting the development of the Wuhan metropolitan area, and building Hubei's international logistics core hub.
