According to the introduction of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the investment in railway infrastructure in the Yangtze River Delta has remained above 80 billion yuan for seven consecutive years. The Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway is an express railway channel connecting Shanghai, Suzhou, Huzhou and other cities. The Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network along the river. At the construction site in Luodian Town, Baoshan District, Shanghai, workers from the project department of the China Railway 15th Bureau are constructing the No. 340 pier foundation of the Shanghai Super Bridge and the No. 42 pier foundation of the Shanghai-Sutong Railway Phase II. Up to now, the construction of 8 pile foundations of the Shanghai Super Bridge has been completed.

At the construction site of the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway Tongtaiyang Bridge on the north bank of the Yangtze River, Luo Chaozheng, a technician from the project department of the China Railway 14th Bureau, organized a self-inspection of the No. 553 pile foundation. Before the Spring Festival, the project department spread the good news, starting from January 14, within 5 days to complete the pouring of the first cap and the pouring of the first bridge pier. After the Spring Festival, the project department organized workers to catch up with the working hours and progress, and pressed the "fast forward button" for the resumption of work and production. So far, 42 pile foundations have been constructed, and it is expected that all pile foundations will be completed in April next year.

The Jinyong Railway connecting Jinhua and Ningbo is a national first-class double-track electrified railway under construction. After it is completed and put into operation, it will become my country's first line for "double-deck high-container" trains. A large-capacity express traffic channel and economic bridge have been built between Ningbo Zhoushan Port, which has the largest throughput in the world. At the construction site of the Jinyong Railway No. 6 standard of China Railway No. 1 Bureau, more than 100 workers were steaming, nervously carrying out work such as storage of long rails and fasteners, on-site pre-paving of ballast, and anchoring of base sleepers. "We are rushing to complete the finishing work before the track laying of beams and bridge decks, and it is expected to enter the track laying stage for the whole line in March." said Xu Qiaodong, commander of the Hangzhou Railway Hub Project Construction Headquarters in charge of Jinyong Railway construction management.

It is reported that in the past year, a total of 3 construction projects of the Yangtze River Delta Railway have been opened, 6 construction projects have started, and 21 projects under construction have a construction organization fulfillment rate of 95%. The annual investment in infrastructure construction has reached 108.9 billion yuan. As of the end of 2022, the operating mileage of the Yangtze River Delta Railway has reached 13,749.7 kilometers, of which the operating mileage of high-speed rail is more than 6,700 kilometers.
