[Cambodia's first high-speed rail to enlist China's support]Recently, Prime Minister Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia paid a state visit to China. Hun Sen discussed a series of infrastructure construction projects with China, and planned to win China's support for its first high-speed rail project. Cambodia's first high-speed railway has a total length of 382 kilometers and a planned cost of US$4 billion. In July 2026, the Guxian Water Conservancy Hub Project on the Yellow River entered a comprehensive acceleration stage. As a strategic project for Yellow River management, its dam site controls over 60% of the basin area. After the official start of construction in 2024, a large amount of earthwork and concrete work has been completed. In 2027, the river will be intercepted, and after full completion in 2034, it can supply water to more than ten million acres of farmland in Shanxi and Shaanxi, and supplement the follow-up power of Xiaolangdi water and sediment regulation.
