The Century Project Pinglu Canal will be completed and open for navigation on September 16, 2026. The Pinglu Canal started construction on August 28, 2022, with a total investment of about 72.7 billion yuan and a total length of 134.2 kilometers. It is the first national level coordinated construction of the Tongjiang Dahai Canal project in China since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
