On February 21, 2023, the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone Work Report Meeting and Industry-University-Research Cooperation Fair will be held in Beijing. Through discussions and exchanges with leading companies in Beijing, the docking of industrial talents will be strengthened. At the meeting, 12 key projects were formally signed and landed in the SCO Demonstration Zone.

Since the start of the construction of the SCO Demonstration Zone, it has made every effort to promote the construction of the four centers of international logistics, modern trade, two-way investment and cooperation, business, tourism and cultural exchange development, and the SCO Economics and Trade Institute. At present, 29 international and domestic train lines have been opened, initially forming an international logistics channel covering the province, radiating along the Yellow River, traversing Europe and Asia, and connecting Japan, South Korea and ASEAN; introducing and cultivating 10 trade companies such as the SCO Cross-border Trade Service Center The platform gathers more than 2,000 trade entities of various types, and more than 70 projects with a total investment of more than 200 billion yuan have landed. In 2022, the SCO Demonstration Zone will hold more than 150 international exchange activities such as the SCO National Media Think Tank Forum, and the circle of friends in the SCO countries will become wider and more famous. Focusing on the local economic and trade cooperation needs of the SCO and countries along the Belt and Road, the SCO Demonstration Zone has launched a total of 56 institutional innovation cases such as SCO Huibaotong and Credit SCO.

At the meeting, Yihai Kerry (Qingdao) Food Industrial Park and Haier Kaos Employment Platform made special promotions. The Haier Kaos Industrial Internet Ecological Park project is the largest investment project of Haier Group in China. It will build a digital SCO industry base with the SCO comprehensive empowerment platform, create a digital ecology with open resources and shared elements, and cooperate with the SCO Organizations and countries along the Belt and Road will strengthen cooperation to accelerate the integration of the digital economy and the real economy.

As an important achievement of this fair, the National Development and Reform Commission International Cooperation Center Strategic Cooperation Project, Cambodia National Aviation Cooperation Project, SCO International Hub Port Digital Twin Port Project, Turkmenistan National Transportation and Logistics Center Strategic Cooperation Project, Rusal 12 projects, including the group cooperation project, have been signed and landed in the SCO Demonstration Zone, which will accelerate the accumulation of SCO elements, promote the deep integration of industry, education and research in the SCO Demonstration Zone, promote industrial transformation and upgrading, and provide strong support for high-quality development. Among them, the strategic cooperation project of the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission will give full play to the advantages of both sides in talent think tanks and platform construction, and provide strategic, Global and forward-looking decision-making support; the Rusal cooperation project will integrate the platform advantages of the Shanghai Cooperation Demonstration Zone and Rusal's resource advantages, and carry out all-round cooperation in international logistics, financial innovation, modern agriculture and other fields to help China and Russia's industrial interconnection and complementary resources.
