According to the latest statistics released by Italian solar energy association Italia Solare, as of the end of December, Italy's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity reached 25,048 MW, distributed in 1,221,045 installations. The largest portion of this capacity was photovoltaic systems, ranging in size from 200 kW to 1 MW, accounting for 8,270 MW or 33% of the total. The second most are installations with output power ranging from 20kW to 200kW, with a share of 5057MW, accounting for 20% of the total.
Solar arrays with a capacity of less than 12 kW accounted for 4,949 MW, or 20% of the total, followed by systems with a capacity of 1 MW to 10 MW, with a 16% share, or 3,942 MW. Italia Solare said the share of PV plants above 10 MW was 1,479 MW, or 6% of the total. As of the end of December, photovoltaic systems with a capacity between 12 kW and 20 kW reached 1,351 MW, accounting for about 5% of the total.
The regions with the largest share of new capacity additions were Lombardy (3,149 MW), Puglia (3,063 MW), Emilia-Romagna (2,512 MW) and Veneto (2,484 MW). megawatts).
Talia Solare said that photovoltaic systems in the residential sector or below 12kW were still the largest market driver last year, with approximately 1,103MW of new installed capacity. This is followed by large power plants above 10 MW with an installed capacity of 289 MW.
Paolo Rocco Viscontinini, president of Italia Solare, said that 2023 is likely to double compared to 2023, and further double in 2024, so we are talking about 2GW, 4GW and 8GW Rome Forum.Editor/XingWentao
