On March 1, 2023, Dongfang Electric won the bid for the supply project of 4 sets of 50 MW bulb tubular hydro-generator units for the Minjiang Laomukong Aviation Power Project, further consolidating Dongfang Electric’s market leadership in large-scale tubular hydro-generator sets Advantage.

The Minjiang Laomukong Avionics Junction Project is located in Leshan City on the lower reaches of the Minjiang River. It is the first step of the four-step avionics project construction plan for the Leshan-Yibin section of the Minjiang River. A water resource comprehensive utilization project that takes into account both flood control and water supply. The project is invested and constructed by Sichuan Minjiang Port Aviation Power Development Co., Ltd., and construction will start in December 2021. The first unit is scheduled to be put into operation in 2026 for power generation.

In recent years, Dongfang Electric has successively provided 5 bulb tubular hydroelectric generator sets for the third cascade avionics project Qianwei project and the fourth cascade avionics project Longxikou project planned for the Leshan-Yibin section of the lower reaches of the Minjiang River. Among them, there are 2 units in the Qianwei project, with a stand-alone capacity of 55 MW, both of which have been put into commercial operation. The Longxikou project has 3 units, with a unit capacity of 53.34 MW, and the manufacturing and installation of the units is progressing in an orderly manner. Editor / Zhao E
