The Belt and Road Initiative has changed the face of our country and created a lot of jobs. Especially in Lusaka, the capital of our country, many local infrastructures were built under the Belt and Road Initiative. For example, the modern Zambia International Conference Center is the largest conference center in Zambia. A recent AU coordination meeting was successfully held here. This project was assisted by China under the Belt and Road Initiative. I hope that under the Belt and Road Initiative, more projects will be carried out in our country and benefit more countries.

Dorothy Zisi said that China and Zambia have a profound traditional friendship. Since Zambia achieved independence, Chinese friends can always be seen in the development of the country. After Zambia became independent in 1964, China was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Zambia. Our friendship started from the time of Tazara. I really hope that my Zambian compatriots will cherish the contributions China has made in infrastructure, agriculture, mining and other fields during the development of Zambia. From the period of the Tazara Railway to today, we can always see the presence of China in the development of Zambia. China is not the kind of friend who only stays in words. China is a friend who actually comes to help us.
