Cangzhou Section of Qugang Expressway

It is reported that Qugang Expressway connects Quyang County of Baoding City and Huanghua Port of Cangzhou City. It is a sea passage directly connecting Huanghua Port and connecting the east with the west. It is also an important part of Cangzhou City's integration into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei comprehensive transportation artery. The Cangzhou section of Qugang Expressway is 181.97 km long, with a total investment of 27.95 billion yuan. It is divided into the Suning Interchange to Beijing-Taiwan Expressway section of Qugang Expressway in Phase I and the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway to Huanghua Port section of Qugang Expressway in Phase II.

The first phase of the project, with a total length of 96.46 kilometers and an estimated total investment of 14 billion yuan, is located in Suning County, Hejian City, Xian County and Qingxian County. The project starts from the Hujiaying hub of Qugang Expressway in the northwest of Nanwang Village, Shisu Town, Suning County, connects with the Baoding section of Qugang Expressway, and ends at the intersection of the east of Maxinzhuang Village, Xinxing Town, Qingxian County, and Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, and reserves the conditions for east extension. The project adopts the standard construction of two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour and a subgrade width of 27 meters. There are 26 bridges, 9 interchanges, 2 service areas and 5 toll stations in the whole line. The project is expected to be completed and open to traffic in December 2024.

The second phase of the project, with a total length of 85.51 kilometers and an estimated investment of 13.95 billion yuan, is located in Qingxian County, Cangxian County and Huanghua City, Bohai New Area. It starts from the east of Maxinzhuang Village, Xinxing Town, Qingxian County, and connects with Suning Interchange of Qugang Expressway to Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, and ends at the north of Guanjiabao Village, Nanpaihe Town, Huanghua City, Bohai New Area, and connects with 228 National Highway. The project adopts the standard construction of two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. In addition to road works, the construction of the project also includes 12 bridges, 26 separate and interchange interchanges, 2 service areas, 6 toll stations, etc.

It is reported that after the completion of the Cangzhou section of Qugang Expressway, the traffic links between Huanghua Port, Tianjin Port and the northeast of Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Xiong'an New Area and the vast hinterland of the northwest will be strengthened. Together with Jinshi Expressway, Huangshi Expressway and Hangang Expressway, they will form the horizontal traffic channel in the central and southern Hebei Province. At the same time, Qugang Expressway intersects with Baocang, Jingde, Beijing-Taiwan, Beijing-Shanghai, Tianjin-Shantou, Coastal and other expressways, forming a road network structure connecting the east and the west, extending in all directions, and optimizing the layout structure of the expressway network in Hebei Province.
