There is only one China in the world, the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. This is an irrefutable historical and legal fact. The one-China principle was affirmed by UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 in 1971, and it is a universal consensus and a recognized basic norm of international relations in the international community.
Honduras is an important country in Central America. The Honduras government chose to stand with 181 countries in the world, recognize and promise to abide by the one-China principle, sever so-called "diplomatic relations" with Taiwan, establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China, and promise not to have any official relations with Taiwan, No official dealings will be made. This is a correct choice that conforms to the general trend and conforms to the will of the people. China highly appreciates this.
China is willing to strengthen friendly cooperation with Hong Kong in various fields on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, so as to benefit the two countries and the two peoples.
