On March 28, 2023, Unit 4 of Yongtai Pumped Storage Power Station was put into operation for power generation. Zhang Tianpeng, member of the Standing Committee of the DEC Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, attended the commissioning ceremony on behalf of DEC. So far, the Yongtai pumped storage power station has been put into operation at full capacity, providing a super "battery" for the large-scale development and utilization of new energy in the southeast coast.

Yongtai Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Baiyun Township, Yongtai County, Fujian Province. It is invested and developed by Fujian Yongtai Mintou Pumped Storage Co., Ltd. The total installed capacity of the power station is 1,200 MW, and 4 pumped storage units with a single capacity of 300 MW are installed. All units are independently developed and supplied by DEC, and the first three units have been successfully put into operation in August, October and December 2022 respectively.

In the process of equipment supply and on-site installation and commissioning, DEC adhered to "zero defect in equipment arrival, zero defect in on-site installation, and zero defect in unit handover", and helped Yongtai Pumped Storage Power Station realize "zero defect commissioning", and won the approval from owners and experts Unanimous praise, DEC was rated as "Quality Supplier".

In the process of R&D and manufacturing of Yongtai units, DEC insisted on "building a unit and building a monument" and made every effort to build a high-quality pumped storage project. The stator winding of the generator motor of the Yongtai Pumped Storage Power Station adopts an innovative design, and the pump turbine adopts the "9+22" combination of runners and blades, so that all parameters can reach excellent indicators, and the vibration and pressure pulsation of the unit have reached excellent levels.

Yongtai pumped storage unit is the first in the industry to adopt digital virtual pre-installation technology. The pre-installation of its water guiding mechanism in the factory adopts a three-dimensional virtual pre-installation method. Compared with physical pre-installation, the assembly efficiency can be increased by 400%.

It is understood that after the Yongtai pumped storage power station is fully put into operation, it will add 2.4 million kilowatts of adjustable load to the Fujian power grid, reduce the consumption of standard coal by 207,900 tons, and reduce carbon emissions by 422,000 tons.
