On March 31, 2023, the first-phase project of Sichuan Lihao Semiconductor Materials Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 100,000 tons of photovoltaic-grade high-purity crystalline silicon + 2,000 tons of electronic-grade high-purity crystalline silicon was officially launched in Yujing Functional Zone, Gongxian Economic Development Zone, Yibin City.

The total investment of the first phase of the project is about 11 billion yuan, and a production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon + 2,000 tons of semiconductor-grade crystalline silicon will be built. It is reported that the project is currently planned to be constructed by the construction unit at the end of May 2023, and will be completed and put into operation in August 2024. After being put into production, it will realize an output value of about 20 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 2 billion yuan.

The enterprise belongs to the upstream industry of crystalline silicon photovoltaics, so its entry and operation will effectively promote the further extension, supplementation and strengthening of the chain of Yibin crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry.

Since 2022, Yibin City, Sichuan Province has vigorously entered the new track of the photovoltaic industry, planning a photovoltaic industrial park of 10,000 mu with high standards, and the photovoltaic industry has grown rapidly from scratch. Up to now, 5 projects with an investment of more than 10 billion yuan have been signed in the crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry projects. As one of the first batch of pilot cities in Sichuan Province to be a strong manufacturing province, Yibin City has adhered to the green and low-carbon orientation in recent years, and promoted the manufacturing structure from a traditional industry that mainly relies on coal and liquor to a new blue ocean of digital economy and green new energy. The transformation of one blue and one green industry has made every effort to build four industrial clusters of high-quality liquor, power batteries, crystalline silicon photovoltaics, and digital economy, laying a solid industrial foundation for Yibin to accelerate the construction of a strong manufacturing city.

In addition to Sichuan Lihao, Yingfa Deyao's 20GW solar cell took only 150 days from the start of construction to the commissioning of production. Key projects such as Hengdian DMEGC 20GW solar cells are speeding up construction. A large number of high-quality projects such as Aiko high-efficiency cells + modules, Gaoce large-size silicon wafers, and Flat photovoltaic glass are actively being negotiated.
