"North Pioneer" was commissioned by China Shipping Petrochemical Import and Export Co., Ltd. to China Shipbuilding Dalian Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for the world's largest deep-water oil and gas field - Brazil's Buzios (Buzios) and Mero (Mero) oil fields. The oil tanker has completely independent intellectual property rights. The ship has a load of 155,000 tons, a total length of 279 meters, a molded width of 48 meters, and a molded depth of 23.7 meters. In March 2021, CSSC and DSIC joined hands again to carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of marine generator sets, and successfully signed a contract for a 155,000-ton shuttle tanker generator set project, further consolidating the position of CSSC products in the mainstream market of ships.
