Recently, the Poland Wiska Flood Control Project undertaken by the Power Construction Municipal Corporation of China Power Construction received the final certificate of completion, marking the completion of the project ahead of schedule and officially entering the warranty period. The completion of the project will further improve the local flood control system and greatly benefit the local residents.

The project includes construction of new dikes, demolition of old dikes, renovation of high-voltage line towers and reconstruction of some provincial roads. The design flood control standard is once in 100 years, and the flood control embankment is moved outward to increase the flood discharge capacity of the Oder River during the flood season.

The main content of the project is embankment work, and the source of materials plays a vital role in the cost and construction period of the project. Due to the remote location of the project, and the large demand for materials and high standards, the project department introduced local high-quality subcontractors and satisfactorily solved the problem of material supply by mixing ingredients. In the end, all construction tasks were completed 5 months earlier than the original schedule, and the high-quality performance of the contract won the recognition and appreciation of the owner.

Since the project involves material transportation, the "Bread Village" road in Gubin Town near the construction site has become the only way for vehicles to pass. During the material transportation process, the project department found that there were no paved sidewalks on both sides of the road section. For fear that a large number of transport vehicles passing by would affect the travel safety of local villagers, the project department decided to build sidewalks on both sides of the original road for free. During the construction process, the local villagers also spontaneously provided free water and bread to the construction workers. The village head also invited the project personnel to participate in the local bread festival, thanking PowerChina for laying the "convenience road" for the villagers.

Since PowerChina entered the Polish market in 2012, it has successively undertaken the Wroclaw flood control project, the Chelm-Lublin power transmission and transformation project, the Shalejów Reservoir, the Cross Reservoir, and the S14 Lodz West Ring Expressway. road, E75 railway, A2 highway and many other projects. Relying on excellent engineering quality and sense of responsibility, it has built a "wall of trust" for Chinese companies from the European people, successfully won the EU standards with high standards and tight thresholds, and firmly established itself in the high-end market.

Among them, the Wroclaw flood control project became the first project of a Chinese company in the EU infrastructure market to successfully perform the contract and obtain the handover certificate. Not only let the local people bid farewell to the flood, but also let the old look of Poland's Venice change into a new tourist attraction. In order to solve fish migration, a stepped fishway was specially built, rare plants were transplanted, and animal experts were specially invited to protect swans. PowerChina is also known by the local government and the public as a very trustworthy international contractor in Poland.Editor/Ma Xue
