The Qianjiang to Jishou section of the Chongqing-Xiang high-speed railway is a convenient channel connecting the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle to the Maritime Silk Road. On April 14, 2023, Dong Yunsong, deputy chief engineer of China Railway Siyuan Group Co., Ltd., and his entourage came to Youyou to investigate the construction of the Qianjiang-Ji first section of the Yuxiang High-speed Railway and held a symposium. Tang Yingshan, director of the Standing Committee of the County People's Congress, and Chen Aidang, deputy magistrate of the county government, accompanied the investigation.

At the symposium, Dong Yunsong introduced the direction of the line from Qianjiang to Jishou section of the Yuxiang High-speed Railway. He said that the project starts from Qianjiang Station of Chongqing-Hunan High-speed Railway, passes through Qianjiang District, Youyang County, Xiushan County, and enters the border of Hunan Province eastward. The total length of the line is 210km, of which the line in Chongqing is 153km long.

In the next stage, we will do our best to complete the feasibility study plan, provide comprehensive technical support, and assist Youyang to jointly promote the construction of the Chongqing-Hunan high-speed railway.

Tang Yingshan said: The China Railway Fourth Academy’s field survey in You marks a breakthrough and a substantial step in the first section of the Chongqing-Hunan High-speed Railway from Qianjiang to Jilin, which is of great milestone significance.

Youyang is making every effort to promote the construction of new urbanization around the Chongqing-Xiang high-speed railway, and build a peach blossom garden in the future. The Chongqing-Xiangsu high-speed railway will be an important strategic support for Youyang to fully integrate into the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and the new land-sea corridor in the west to serve the national grand strategy.

The substantive advancement of the first section of the Yuxiang High-speed Railway from Qianjiang to Jilin is a way for Youyang to play the three cards of ecology, countryside, and cultural tourism, amplify its advantages, form a winning trend, and accelerate the creation of a new model of a beautiful place with beautiful mountains and rivers, a new model of national rural revitalization, and a world-renowned A powerful engine for tourism to new destinations.
