On April 18, 2023, China National Railway Group issued a bidding announcement for the survey and design of 4 new railways in the "14th Five-Year Plan" railway development plan and 4 existing railway capacity expansion and reconstruction projects.
The 4 new projects include: Loudi-Yiyang high-speed railway, Changchun-Tonghua high-speed railway, Longyan-Longchuan high-speed railway Wuping-Meizhou section and Lincang-Qingshuihe railway.
The four capacity expansion and reconstruction projects include: reconstruction of Jiaozhou-Xinyi Railway; reconstruction of Zhengzhou, Xi'an, and Lanzhou Bureau Sections of Zhengzhou-Tianshui Section of Longhai Railway; reconstruction of Yinchuan-Zhongwei Section of Baolan Railway; renovation of Linhe-Ejina Section of Linha Railway. Except for the reconstruction of Longhai Railway for speed increase, the rest of the projects are planned to carry out double-track electrification transformation.
The above 8 projects are all key projects of China National Railway Group's networking, supplementary network, and strong chain plan.
The scope of bidding includes the survey and design work of the whole process of the project from pre-feasibility study, feasibility study to preliminary design and construction drawing design. It marks that the preliminary work of these 8 railway projects has officially started at the national level, and the project has been officially put on the construction agenda. It is expected to start construction during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period or meet the conditions for starting construction such as feasibility study approval.
The 4 new railway projects are as follows:
Changchun-Liaoyuan-Tonghua high-speed rail
The new Changchun-Tonghua high-speed railway project is located in Jilin Province. It connects Changchun via Liaoyuan and Meihekou to Tonghua and Shenbai high-speed railway. It has been included in the "14th Five-Year Plan" railway development plan, with a total length of about 260 kilometers.
The adjacent Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway and the Changhui intercity have been completed, and the construction of the Shenbai high-speed railway has started. The construction of the project is of great significance for the construction of the high-speed railway ring line in Jilin Province and the realization of the "city-to-city" high-speed railway in Jilin Province.
Yiyang to Loudi high-speed rail
The Yiyang-Loudi high-speed railway project is located in Hunan Province and has been included in the "14th Five-Year Plan" railway development plan, with a total length of about 99 kilometers.
The adjacent Changyi-Changzhou high-speed railway and Lou-Shao railway have been completed, and the Xiangchang-Changzhou high-speed railway and Shaoyong high-speed railway are advancing the preliminary work. The construction of the project has positive significance for the construction of the Hunan high-speed railway channel.
Wuping-Meizhou section of Longlong high-speed railway
The Wuping-Meizhou section of the Longyan-Longchuan high-speed railway is located in Guangdong and Fujian provinces. It has been included in the "14th Five-Year Plan" railway development plan. The adjacent Longyan-Wuping section and Meizhou-Longchuan section have started construction. The construction of this project has positive significance for improving the regional road network and improving the flexibility of transportation organization.
According to the preliminary research plan, the total length of the project is about 103km, of which the Fujian section is 14km, the Guangdong section is 89km, and the design speed is 250 kilometers per hour.
Lincang to Qingshuihe Railway
The Lincang-Qingshuihe Railway is an important part of the China-Myanmar Grand Corridor. After completion, it will become one of the most convenient land routes for China to reach South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean Rim.
The project starts from Lincang Station of Dali-Lincang Railway, passes through Shuangjiang Autonomous County and Gengma Autonomous County, and ends at Qingshuihe National Class I border port in Mengding.
The proposed new line has a total length of 167 kilometers and a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour. It has been included in the national railway "14th Five-Year Plan" development planning research project. Editor / Zhao E
