The Brazil FIOL Railway Section 1 construction project is the first railway project of China Railway Group in Brazil, and it is also the first time that China Railway No. 10 Bureau has won the bid and undertaken the construction of a railway project in Brazil. The project is located from Ilheus to Ipiau, Bahia, Brazil. The contract value of the project is 219 million US dollars, the construction period is 34 months, and the line length is 126 kilometers. The main construction contents include subgrade excavation, backfilling, culvert, bridge construction, track laying engineering, level crossing and greening engineering construction.

On October 5, 2022, the Latin American Branch of China Railway No. 10 Bureau and TIISA signed a memorandum of understanding on the consortium and began to jointly carry out bidding work. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project bidding work, the Latin American Branch has selected elite soldiers, set up a project bidding team, carefully prepared marketing plans, held regular bidding planning meetings, and held video docking meetings with the owner BAMIN to maintain active and good communication.

During the bidding process, the bidding team of the Latin American branch always maintained the original bidding enthusiasm and rigorous work style, followed up the progress of the project in a timely manner, carried out various tasks such as cost estimation and bidding document preparation, and cooperated with the engineer team of TIISA Company many times Went to ILHEUS, where the project is located, to carry out project inspections. Due to changes in the bidding documents, the Latin American branch completed 11 revisions of the project bill of quantities and submitted 3 versions of bidding documents.

In January 2023, the owner BAMIN announced that our consortium ranked first in the technical bid, and became one of the three units that entered the short list of bids, marking that the project has entered the bid negotiation stage since then. In the end, after several months of intense bidding and business negotiations, China Railway No. 10 Bureau, relying on its advantages in technology, business, and capital, stood out from the competition with local construction companies and international multinational companies on the same stage, and successfully won the bid for Brazil FIOL.
