The flood storage area along the Huaihe River in Anhui Province and other low-lying land treatment projects started this time are one of the 38 projects determined by the State Council to further control the Huaihe River and one of the 150 major national water conservancy projects. one. The construction scope of the project includes a total of 30 depressions along the Huaihe River, Huaibei Plain depressions and Huainan tributary depressions, with a total treatment area of 4,722 square kilometers. The project has improved the flood control and drainage system in the treatment area by dredging the main drainage channels of the tributaries, reinforcing the embankments of low-lying polders, building and rebuilding drainage pumping stations, and culvert buildings. The total construction period of the project is 36 months, and the total investment approved by the feasibility study is 10.375 billion yuan.
