The West-to-East Hydrogen Pipeline Demonstration Project is China's first trans-provincial, large-scale, long-distance pure hydrogen pipeline. After the pipeline is completed, it will meet the demand for hydrogen in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. In western China, renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics and wind power are abundant, but their power generation has the characteristics of intermittent, fluctuating, random, etc., and it is easy to abandon wind and light. In the future, the west-to-east hydrogen transmission pipeline will be completed and put into operation. The surrounding photovoltaic and wind power projects along the pipeline can use abandoned wind and light to generate green hydrogen and transport it out through the pipeline.
