On April 23, 2023, the Henan Provincial Public Resources Trading Center released the announcement on the results of the general contracting of the special railway EPC project of Henan International Logistics Hub Construction and Operation Co., Ltd. The project is an important part of Zhengzhou New International Land Port, with a total investment of about 4.5 billion.

Zhengzhou International Railway Port is the core hub project of Zhengzhou International Land Port and Airport Area, with a planned land area of 6.33 square kilometers. It is constructed according to the spatial structure of three groups in the area, with a total construction area of 2.94 million square meters and a total investment of 18.5 billion yuan.

Project Overview

The newly-built special railway is connected and drawn from Xinzheng East Station, and runs eastward by using the narrow-gauge railway channel position of the new vertical section of the existing newly opened railway. International Gangdong Station, the total length of the line is 22.770km. The newly-built connection line is connected from Xinzheng Station of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, and leads to Xinzheng East Station after crossing Yanhuang Avenue. The total length of the new line is 1.195km, and the total contract period is 420 calendar days.

Technical standard: The nature of the railway is a special railway, the number of main lines is single, internal combustion traction, and the design speed is 80km/h.

Four stations are involved, namely Xinzheng Station, Xinzheng East Station and the newly built Zhengzhou International Port West Station and Zhengzhou International Port East Station.

Xinzheng Station: Renovate the existing 13 and 15 electrified grids in the station; add a machine standby line at the south throat; set up a safety line at the junction of the new connection line.

Xinzheng East Station: 1 newly added arrival and departure line; the existing III track casing in the station is removed.

Zhengzhou International Port West Station: There are 3 arrival and departure lines in the station; 1 standby line at the west end of the station; 2 commodity car operation lines on the same left side of the station; 2 end-type container operation lines, and corresponding gantry cranes.

Zhengzhou International Port East Station: There are 3 arrival and departure lines; 1 standby line and 1 pull-out line; 1 through-type 2 container operation lines and 2 dead-end cargo lines.
