Recently, the inauguration and opening ceremony of the school in Dangala district of Tajikistan donated by PowerChina was held in Dangala, the hometown of President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan. President Rahmon attended the ceremony and personally unveiled the opening of the school. Tajikistan's Minister of the Interior, Minister of Education, Governor Hartlong and other government officials accompanied the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Rahmon spoke highly of PowerChina's active participation in Tajikistan's public welfare undertakings and fulfillment of corporate social responsibility, and fully recognized the school's construction and resource allocation in all aspects.

Dangala District School Project

The school project in Dangala District is designed and constructed in accordance with the standards stipulated in the norms and guidelines for the construction of educational institutions in Tajikistan. The school covers an area of about 16,000 square meters. The main building consists of a three-story teaching building, a two-story ancillary building (canteen and auditorium) and an indoor gymnasium, with a total construction area of about 4,700 square meters. There are ordinary classrooms, special classrooms, offices, auditoriums, canteens, etc., and are equipped with necessary supporting facilities such as power supply and lighting, water supply and drainage, fire alarm, ventilation and heating, monitoring, communication systems, and outdoor roads.

In 2017, PowerChina provided free donations to build three schools in Tajikistan, that is, two schools with a capacity of 320 students were built in Bakhtar City and Levakant City, Khatlon Prefecture, Tajikistan. A school with a capacity of 640 students will be built in Dangala District. Among them, two schools with a capacity of 320 students have been completed and handed over on October 27, 2021.

In recent years, while actively participating in the construction of Tajikistan's transportation, energy, and housing construction projects, PowerChina has actively responded to the national Belt and Road Initiative, fulfilled social responsibilities, served local development, and made new contributions to the friendship between China and Tajikistan. The mission of the central enterprise has further enhanced the good corporate and brand image of Power China in Tajikistan, which has been unanimously praised by the local government and people.
