Recently, the "Solicitation for Opinions on the Partial Optimization of the Second Phase of Shaoxing Urban Rail Transit Line 2" was announced in the network planning of Shaoxing Rail Transit in Zhejiang, which means that the station of this subway line will be determined.

Phase II Project of Line 2

According to reports, the second-phase project of Line 2 is positioned as an urban express backbone line that realizes the rapid connection between Yuecheng and Shangyu and takes into account travel within Shangyu. The total length of the line is about 26km, and the scope of the project is from Yuexing Road Station (not included) to Liangzhu Avenue Station, along Qunxian Road, North-South Central Avenue, Wuxing Road, Citizen Avenue, and Wangshan Road; there are 7 stations, all of which are underground stations; newly built One Cao'e vehicle depot and one Cao'e main transformer are connected to the Jinghu control center.

The construction information about the project announced in the "Notice of the Shaoxing Municipal People's Government Office on Printing and Distributing the Division of Key Work Responsibilities of the Municipal Government in 2023" will start construction in September 2023 and be completed in December 2028.

Development plan for rail transit

Planned routes: 8 lines with a length of 278 kilometers are planned by 2035; 11 lines with a length of 436 kilometers are planned by 2050. Operating lines: The main line of Metro Line 1, 47.1 kilometers, 28 stations. Lines under construction: the first phase of Metro Line 2 and the branch line of Line 1, with a length of 18.1 kilometers and 1 station. Lines to be operated soon: Phase I of Metro Line 2, 10.8 kilometers long, with 9 stations. Reporting lines: Subway Line 2 Phase II, Line 4 Phase I, Line 5 Phase I, 67.3 kilometers, 36 stations.

According to the previously released "14th Five-Year Plan for Comprehensive Transportation Development in Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City (Draft for Public Comment)", it involves Lines 4 and 5 of the Shaoxing Metro. Shaoxing Urban Rail Transit Line 4: The construction project started during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Starting from Binshe Station and ending at Dongyi Road Station, the mileage in Yuecheng District is about 24 kilometers. Shaoxing Urban Rail Transit Line 5: The construction project started during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Starting from Shaoxing North Station and ending at Fuquan Station, the mileage in Yuecheng District is about 29 kilometers.

In the next five years, Shaoxing will continue to promote the urbanization of Hangzhou-Shaoxing and Ningbo-Shaoxing transportation, and focus on building 15 iconic and leading ten-billion projects. Promote the formation of the Hangzhou-Shaoxing joint hub development pattern, build a 336 traffic circle that is 30 minutes from the city, 30 minutes from Hangzhou and Ningbo, and 60 minutes from Shanghai, and accelerate the realization of high-speed railways between counties and counties, smart roads in three districts, and town-to-town expressways.
