On May 6, 2023, Feidong County, Anhui Province officially signed a project cooperation agreement with Qingdian Group. Yu Aihua, member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hefei Municipal Party Committee, held talks with Zhang Jujun, Chairman of Qingdian Group, and witnessed the signing of the contract. Both parties have agreed to focus on the photovoltaic industry, with Qingdian Group taking root in fertilizer, driving chain enterprises to cluster in fertilizer, and accelerating the formation of a typical model of a 1+5 pattern, which includes manufacturing bases, research and development centers, sales centers, listed entities, supplier clusters, and supporting industry funds, to work together to create a photovoltaic industry cluster with significant influence.

Signing and settling of photovoltaic industry chain projects

At the meeting, the photovoltaic headquarters and photovoltaic industry chain project of Qingdian Group with a total investment of 10 billion yuan was signed and settled, and a 16GW monocrystalline silicon wafer production line and supporting project were constructed. The first phase of the project is planned to start construction in May and start production in August. Hefei Industrial Investment Group, Jingneng Tongxin, Sany Heavy Energy, and others have signed a round A financing agreement with Qingdian Photovoltaic Technology Company, which will be used for the construction and operation of this project.

It is understood that solar photovoltaic cells, abbreviated as photovoltaic cells, are used to directly convert the solar energy into electrical energy. Ground photovoltaic systems extensively use silicon based solar cells, which can be divided into monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, and amorphous silicon solar cells. In terms of comprehensive performance such as energy conversion efficiency and service life, monocrystalline silicon and polycrystalline silicon batteries are superior to amorphous silicon batteries. Polycrystalline silicon has lower conversion efficiency than monocrystalline silicon, but its price is cheaper. Editor/He Yuting
