Following the successful hoisting of the heaviest equipment in the first phase of the ethylene unit of the Shandong Yulong Refining and Chemical Integration Project - the 1960-ton quench oil tower, on May 9, 2023, SPCECC successfully hoisted the 1#150 of the project into place The 1,680-ton ethylene rectification tower of the 10,000-ton/year ethylene plant has set off an upsurge in the installation of large-scale equipment for the plant, laying the foundation for the project to successfully complete various node goals.

The hoisted ethylene rectification tower has a diameter of 7.3 meters, a height of 93.7 meters, and a total weight of 1,680 tons. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the hoisting task, the project hoisting team coordinated various mechanical resources in advance, reasonably arranged construction elements, worked overtime to collect relevant data, determined the hoisting plan, and organized construction personnel to carry out hoisting simulation and other work. After the ethylene distillation tower was transported from the wharf yard to the construction site as a whole, the project department quickly organized the construction personnel to complete the dressing work such as the ladder platform of the tower body, the pipeline attached to the tower, and electrical work, so as to prepare for the overall hoisting of the equipment. At 12:45 noon on May 9, the hoisting officially started. This time, the single main engine hoisting delivery method was adopted, with a 4000t crawler crane as the main hoist and an 800t crawler crane as the auxiliary tail. After more than three hours of lifting and turning with the joint efforts of the two vehicles, the equipment was finally placed on the foundation at 4:30 p.m.

The successful hoisting of the ethylene rectification tower is another major equipment hoisting task completed efficiently after the hoisting of the quench oil tower.
