On June 5, 2023, China and Argentina signed the Cooperation Plan between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Argentine Republic on Jointly Promoting the Construction of the the Belt and Road. Wang Wenbin, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, introduced the relevant information at the press conference.
In February 2023, China and Argentina signed a memorandum of understanding on jointly building the the Belt and Road, and Argentina officially joined the the Belt and Road Initiative. The signing of the cooperation plan on jointly promoting the construction of the the Belt and Road by China and Arab States this time is of great significance for deepening the strategic docking and practical cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and will further promote the cooperation between China and countries in Latin America and the Caribbean in jointly building the the Belt and Road to go deeper and more practical.
China and Latin America jointly build the the Belt and Road cooperation to bring a better life to the people of both sides, and also make the two continents more closely linked. Up to now, the circle of friends jointly built by China and Latin America along the the Belt and Road has expanded to 21 countries, and China has maintained its position as Latin America's second largest trade partner for 10 consecutive years. In 2022, the total trade volume between China and Latin America reached a new historical high.
Wang Wenbin said: "We believe that under the promotion of the joint construction of the the Belt and Road, China Latin America relations in the new era of equality, mutual benefit, innovation, openness and people benefit will continue to deepen, and the road of friendly cooperation across the Pacific will become wider and wider."
