On June 7, 2023, the Zhangjiakou Shangyi Pastoral Light complementary photovoltaic project invested by China Energy Construction Tianjin Power Construction Co., Ltd. officially started, with a total investment of 2.47 billion yuan, which has significant energy saving, environmental protection and social benefits.

Project profile

The project is located in Shangyi County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, with a planned installed capacity of 400 MW and a DC side installed capacity of 480 MW. 738,472 mono-crystalline silicon double-sided double-glass photovoltaic modules of 650 W/piece are selected for power generation units in the photovoltaic plant, and an energy storage device of 15% capacity is configured for 2 hours. A new 220 kV booster station will eventually be connected to the 500 kV substation in Bahang, Zhangbei County, and strive to be connected to the grid by the end of 2023. The land requisition area of the booster station is about 27.82 mu, and the leasing area of the photovoltaic field area is about 14,000 mu.

Compared with thermal power with the same power generation, the project can save 218,000 tons of standard coal per year and reduce the emissions of various atmospheric pollutants, including about 114.65 tons of sulfur dioxide, 596,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 128.26 tons of nitrogen oxides. At the same time, it can also save a lot of fresh water resources, and has a positive effect on improving the atmospheric environment.

After the completion of the project, it is expected that the annual sales revenue of 230 million yuan, the annual tax revenue of 300 million yuan, and the creation of nearly 100 new jobs.
