The world's energy landscape has changed, and new trends in investment in renewable energy such as photovoltaics are taking shape. Recently, two national standards in the field of solar energy "Technical Specifications for Meteorological Observation and Data Review and Revision of Photovoltaic Power Stations" and "Specifications for Solar Resource Evaluation of Photovoltaic Power Generation" were officially released with the approval of the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Management Committee).
The "Technical Specifications for Meteorological Observation and Data Review and Revision of Photovoltaic Power Stations" was released on March 17, 2023 and will be implemented on July 1. The standard is led by the Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "Public Service Center"), and the relevant new energy power generation companies, electric power design institutes, universities and other units collaborated to draft it. Supplement, Requirements for data correction of solar radiation elements, describe the corresponding verification methods; applicable to meteorological observations related to solar resource measurement, investigation, evaluation, development and utilization of photovoltaic power plants, collection, recording, review, interpolation and representation of observation data year revision.
The "Standards for Assessment of Solar Energy Resources for Photovoltaic Power Generation" will be released and implemented on May 23, 2023. The standard was drafted by the Public Service Center, with the participation of relevant new energy power generation companies, electric power design institutes, universities and other units. The evaluation requirements of factors and the preparation of evaluation reports, as well as the corresponding verification methods; are applicable to the calculation, analysis and evaluation of solar energy resources in the planning, design, post-evaluation and other stages of various photovoltaic power generation projects.
The two national standards will provide standardized technical methods and procedures for meteorological, energy, electric power and other related units to carry out photovoltaic power generation solar resource observation, data quality control and resource assessment, and support reasonable planning, scientific design, standardized construction and operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power generation .
