On June 13, 2023, Song Hailiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Energy Engineering Corporation Co., Ltd., held talks with the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, in Tashkent. During this period, China Energy Construction signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

According to the memorandum of cooperation, both sides will further deepen cooperation, jointly promote Uzbekistan's energy transformation and the development of new energy and energy storage, and help Uzbekistan achieve its energy planning goals as soon as possible.

Song Hailiang stated that China Energy Construction has advantages in high-end think tanks, planning leadership, model innovation, diversified integration, and integrated development in the field of energy and electricity. Currently, China Energy Construction is actively connecting with Uzbekistan's needs, providing a one-stop solution for green and low-carbon development, promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of Uzbekistan's energy structure, and actively participating in the upgrading and maintenance of Uzbekistan's new power system, Assist in the upgrading and renovation of new power grids and old power sources. He said that China Energy Construction is willing to work together with the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan to increase the import of new industries, create a new energy industrial park, and build Uzbekistan into a new energy equipment base and innovation base in Central Asia. Focusing on zero carbon demonstration projects and demonstration bases for the integration of industry, academia, research and application, we will jointly create a model project for China Ukraine cooperation.

Jolabek Mirzamahmudov welcomed Song Hailiang and his delegation. We also welcome China Energy Construction to continue participating in Uzbekistan's national power grid planning research, establish specialized teams to promote, and assist Uzbekistan in accelerating the implementation of renewable energy substitution plans and ensuring energy security.
