With the accelerated development of the the Belt and Road and global trade, cooperation between China and Serbia in various fields has gained strong momentum in recent years. On June 15, 2023, the China Serbia Enterprise Trade Docking Conference and Signing Ceremony were held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Chinese and Serbian enterprises signed multiple trade agreements at the docking meeting, with a total contract amount exceeding 510 million US dollars.
Serbian Minister of Construction, Transportation, and Infrastructure, Wesi ć, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Resources, Tanaskovic, Director of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Li Xingqian, and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, Chen Bo, attended the docking meeting and witnessed the signing of the trade agreement.
Li Xingqian said in his speech that in recent years, the complementarity of the Chinese and Serbian economies has been continuously strengthened, driving the rapid growth of bilateral trade. This trade promotion mission will introduce more high-quality and advantageous Serbian products to the Chinese market, adding new impetus to the development of China Serbia economic and trade relations.
Chen Bo said that with the promotion of the the Belt and Road Initiative, China and Serbia have given full play to their complementary advantages, actively carried out mutually beneficial cooperation, and constantly expanded two-way opening up, achieving significant growth in bilateral trade. The visit of the Chinese trade promotion delegation to Serbia this time, where both sides jointly held a business docking meeting, can be said to be at the right time. I believe that such activities will bring more new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between both sides.

In his speech, Wesic said that Serbia and China have a strong friendship, and this trade docking meeting is a major event in the development of bilateral relations. I believe there will be more such activities in the future, and Serbian companies will have the opportunity to occupy a place in the Chinese market.
This trade docking meeting was organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China, attracting nearly 120 entrepreneurs and representatives from China and Serbia to attend. The trade contracts involve agricultural and sideline products, chemicals, minerals, wood and other fields.Editor/Ma Xue
