In the context of economic globalization, transportation interconnection has become the focus of attention. Presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Andijan Oblast to meet voters and present his election program. According to him, four electric trains will be launched on the Andijan-Fergana - Hohan - Namangan-Andijan railway loop. Eight flights a day will be organized to carry about 10,000 passengers, for which $40 million will be allocated.
By the end of 2023, a large-scale project costing $2.5 billion will be launched together with the World Bank to build a Tashkan-Andijan toll road. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the travel time from Andijan to Tashkent will be reduced from the current five hours to three hours, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Andijan International Airport will also be fully renovated to modern standards, with an allocation of $350 million for the project. By 2030, 600,000 residents in 427 Maharas will have access to drinking water and 1 million people will have access to improved water supply.
In order to improve the water supply to 510,000 people in the cities of Andijan, Hynabad and Karasuf, as well as in the Kurgantepa, Jarakuduk, Andijan, Asaka and Altinkur regions, the second branch of the Hynabad-Andijan main Line pipeline will be constructed. Will attract $35 million in investment. Overall, we will increase regional centralized water supply coverage from the current 87 percent to 97 percent, the candidate said. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
