The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said in an interview that Palestine has been a partner of the Belt and Road Initiative from the very beginning and looks forward to the fruits of the initiative, which will benefit the whole world.

Throughout the interview, 88-year-old President Abbas was calm and frank. He expressed his gratitude to China many times and regarded China as a staunch supporter and defender of the just cause of the Palestinian people. He agreed with the concept of a China-Arab community with a shared future and hoped that the Belt and Road Initiative would bring more development opportunities to Palestine. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
