Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin recently held a regular press conference. Since 2023, many well-known foreign executives have come to China. Their business involves automobile, consumer, manufacturing, medical, finance, electronic technology and other fields. What is your comment?

Wang Wenbin said that we are happy to see foreign enterprises invest and do business in China, deepen the Chinese market and share development opportunities.

Since the beginning of 2023, China's economic operation has continued to recover, and the super resilience and great attraction of the Chinese market have continued to emerge. Recently, some foreign chambers of commerce in China released a report showing that the majority of foreign enterprises surveyed are still optimistic about the prospects of China's economic development. Among them, more than half of German companies plan to increase investment in China in the next two years, nearly 60 percent of US companies are positive about China's economic recovery, 86 percent of British companies are optimistic about the long-term potential of the Chinese market, and more than 90 percent of Japanese companies plan to expand or maintain their business in China.

According to data released by China's Ministry of Commerce, from January to May 2023, the actual investment in China from France, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan increased by 429.7%, 179.2%, 170.1% and 63.3% respectively.

Wang Wenbin said that the vast sea of China's economy offers vast market and development opportunities for companies in various countries. At the same time, we are willing to continue to escort the innovation and development of all domestic and foreign enterprises in China, and actively foster a market-oriented, law-based and international first-class business environment.
