Recently, the preliminary design of the Fuzhou-Changle Airport Intercity Railway (F1 Line) project was officially approved by the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

The project starts from Fuzhou Railway Station, passes Jinan, Gulou, Taijiang, Cangshan, Minhou, Changle, Binhai New City, and Changle Airport to Dahe. The total length is about 62.4 kilometers. There are 13 stations in the near future and 2 reserved Station; one car depot and one parking lot on the whole line; three main substations on the whole line (Dongsheng Main Transformer, First Occupying Main Transformer, Big Crane Main Transformer); 1 new control center (Emperor Fengjiang Control Center). The estimated investment of the project is 38.389 billion yuan. The construction period is 54 months.

The route is laid in the form of underground line + elevated line, in which: the railway station to Difengjiang section uses the underground line, the Difengjiang to Lianhuashan section uses the elevated line, the Lianhuashan to Binhai New City section uses the underground line, and the Binhai New City to the airport section Temporarily press the underground line, enter the airport to the terminal section and press the underground line.

According to the plan, the Fuzhou-Changle Airport Intercity Railway, the Binhai Express Line, is the link that quickly connects the Fuzhou New District Binhai New City and the Fuzhou Old City. It is a guarantee project for the construction and development of the Binhai New City and a landmark project in the Northeast Fujian Economic Cooperation Zone .
