The Russian International Affairs Commission and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences held the 8th International Forum on China Russia: New Era Cooperation in Beijing. Both sides discussed the development of Russia China relations under the increasingly fierce global geopolitical and geopolitical competition at this stage. The Foreign Ministers of Russia and China, the Russian Ambassador to Beijing, and the Chinese Ambassador to Russia delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated in his speech that the West sees the contemporary Russia China line as an obstacle to maintaining their global influence, and therefore uses Ukraine and Taiwan as excuses for anti Russia and anti China actions. Foreign Minister Lavrov said that one of its manifestations is to bypass the United Nations Security Council and adopt unprecedented financial and economic sanctions. Because of this, it is also illegal. At the same time, the list of Ukraine and Political status of Taiwan issues, human rights, can continue to be extended, not because of its reasons, but just as an excuse for Washington and its servants to take anti Russian and anti Chinese actions. The colonial rulers saw the contemporary line of Russia and China as an obstacle to maintaining their global influence based on military and political orders, economic and technological monopolies.
Lavrov pointed out that today our two countries are experiencing rapid and profound changes due to the transition to a new multipolar world. And Russia and China are facing the strongest pressure from the collective West led by the United States.
Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang emphasized that in the face of a turbulent and changing world, China is willing to continue to work with Russia to adhere to the path of inclusive and win-win development. Qin Gang said that we should work together to promote the docking and cooperation between the joint construction of the the Belt and Road and the Eurasian Economic Union, ensure the stability and smoothness of the global industrial chain supply chain, jointly promote the prosperity and development of countries in the region, walk together in the security system of dialogue and cooperation, resolutely oppose Power politics and hegemonic acts, firmly uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core, and the international order based on international law, adhere to dialogue rather than confrontation, and partner rather than alliance, Win win rather than zero sum, jointly maintain regional peace and tranquility, walk the path of inclusive and co built civilization, actively promote bilateral and multilateral cultural exchanges and dialogue among civilizations, and make the eight national theme years of China and Russia truly meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the two peoples, vividly practice, and jointly commit to the beauty and harmony of human civilization.
Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov stated in his speech that Russia and China have the ability to jointly break NATO's plans for global activities, including in the Asia Pacific region. Igor Morgulov said that the Ukrainian crisis is not the only manifestation of the hegemonic ambitions of the United States and its subordinate states. Washington led NATO is attempting to extend its activities globally, with the intention of infiltrating the Asia Pacific region and striving to split the entire space of Europe and Asia into an exceptional and military group network. This is an extremely dangerous plan, but I firmly believe that Russia and China have the ability to work together to implement their plan.
Igor Morgulov pointed out that Moscow and Beijing have always advocated from a different perspective that the establishment of a more just multipolar world architecture should be based on international law, rather than some vague rules fabricated by someone. Ambassador Igor Morgulov said that the vast majority of countries in the world agree with our position.
Igor Ivanov, Chairman of the Russian International Affairs Committee, pointed out that today the world is undergoing changes in the entire system of international relations formed after World War II. Countries opposing a unipolar world are struggling for a new world order, with increasing national consciousness and an economic transition towards a new foundation. Under this situation, Igor Ivanov believes that the two countries are effectively coordinating their diplomatic positions. Gao Xiang, President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, pointed out that Russia and China are walking on the path of strategic mutual trust and good neighborly friendship, establishing a new type of bilateral relationship. The two countries not only adhere to the policy of independence, but also support each other.
After the opening ceremony, during the forum, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Ruchenko spoke highly of the friendly atmosphere and the correct topics discussed during the meeting with Russian journalists. Alexander Ruchenko said, 'I really like the spirit of this conference itself, the topics proposed by the participants.'. These discussions confirm that Russia and China maintain a special spirit of friendship. On most issues, our positions are consistent or close. This includes a stance on the world situation and a transformation of everything that is happening. It also includes an assessment of regional events, including the crisis in Ukraine. Understand its causes, its roots. China does not view this conflict as a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but rather it has a global nature. What pleases me the most is that we actually have a common language.Editor/XingWentao
