European countries are turning to Africa to ensure future fuel supply, investing heavily in green hydrogen projects in countries such as Namibia, Morocco, Egypt, and South Africa.
The Netherlands and Denmark have launched a $1 billion green hydrogen fund in South Africa. A similar fund was established in Namibia in 2022.
