Africa is rich in mineral resources, and strengthening cooperation between Chinese enterprises and African countries is conducive to achieving efficient utilization of local resources. Recently, Zhang Jialing, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Chairman of the Financial Committee of Amer International Group, was invited to participate in multiple business activities and talks in Morocco. On behalf of Amer International Group, he signed a mineral contract with ONHYM, the State Administration of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Morocco, to connect resources, discuss cooperation, and seek development plans together.

2023 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Morocco. In the process of continuously deepening the strategic partnership between China and Morocco, exchanges and cooperation between the two countries have also made significant progress. It is reported that the iron ore signed this time is the largest iron ore in Morocco, with Proven reserves of 87 million tons. The Amer International Group and Le Brillant Nador consortium won the bid after fierce competition with several well-known companies from the United States, Canada, India, Australia, and other countries.

Morocco, as the first North African country to sign the the Belt and Road cooperation plan with China, has a unique geographical location and rich mineral resources. The proven phosphate reserves have reached 50 billion tons, accounting for 71% of the global reserves. The reserves of lead ores and antimony ores rank second in Africa, and the reserves of zinc ores rank third in Africa. At present, Morocco has developed metal mineral resources such as copper, lead, zinc, cobalt, nickel, iron, manganese, antimony, tungsten, molybdenum, tin, gold, and silver.Editor/Ma Xue
