Recently, the joint venture formed by China Energy Engineering Tianjin Power Construction and Northwest Electric Power Design Institute signed the EPC contract of Tunisia Kairouan 100 MW photovoltaic power station with AMEA Power, the owner in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Project Overview

It is reported that the project is located in Kairouan City, east of central Tunisia, a North African country. The scope of the project includes the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of a 100 MW AC photovoltaic power plant. The development and construction of this project will provide sufficient clean, green and renewable energy for local industrial and agricultural production and people's daily life in Tunisia, assist in the adjustment of local energy structure and industrial transformation and upgrading, and bring positive benefits to local socio-economic and environmental development.

The signing of the project is a concrete embodiment of TPEC's in-depth implementation of Several Opinions and 1466 strategy, further strengthening international confidence, maintaining strategic focus, strengthening resource coordination, actively participating in the construction of "three new" energy, implementing the three development trends of the Group's "high-quality development, integrated development, and integrated development", and the three economic forms of "green Low-carbon economy, digital smart economy, and Sharing economy".

This project is the first photovoltaic power station EPC project undertaken by Tianjin Power Construction in North Africa, and is also another photovoltaic power station project acquired in Africa after Tianjin Power Construction's assistance to China Africa photovoltaic power station project and Chad N'Djamena 30 MW photovoltaic project. It has realized the rolling development of Tianjin Power Construction in the field of new energy in Africa.
