Recently, the commencement of Datang Jiangjin gas turbine project was held in Luohuang Lingang Industrial City, Jiangjin District. On site, Tang Dajun, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee and District Mayor, attended the event and announced the start of construction.

Datang Jiangjin Gas Turbine Project, invested and constructed by China Datang Corporation Co., Ltd., is a municipal key project of Chongqing in 2023. The project is located in Luohuang Lingang Industrial City, with a total investment of approximately 2.6 billion yuan and an area of approximately 171 acres. It is planned to be put into operation in 2025. The project adopts high-quality, efficient, and environmentally friendly F-level improved gas units with domestically produced technology, and synchronously constructs relevant supporting facilities such as flue gas denitrification devices. After the project is put into operation, it is expected that the annual online electricity consumption will be about 2.5 billion kilowatt hours, and the annual output value will be about 1.3 billion yuan.

It is understood that Datang Gas Turbine is a leading enterprise in China's energy industry, with rich experience and advanced technology in technological innovation and green development. Datang Jiangjin Gas Turbine Project is a key project of Chongqing's 14th Five Year Plan for electric power, and also an important measure for Jiangjin District to actively respond to the national carbon peak and carbon neutrality plan and accelerate the development of green Low-carbon economy. The construction of the project will further optimize and improve the energy structure of Jiangjin District and promote the healthy development of regional economy. At the same time, after the project is put into operation, it can provide strong support for the city's medium to long-term electricity demand, participate in peak shaving and auxiliary service market competition, and play an important guarantee role in alleviating the city's power shortage pressure and improving the peak shaving capacity of the Chongqing power grid.
