Recently, the awarding and signing ceremony of the signal system integration project of the Madong Coastal Railway was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. CARS officially won the signal system integration bid of the Madong Coastal Railway project, and undertook six core signal products of the whole line of the Madong Railway, including centralized CTC system, computer interlocking system, centralized monitoring system, train control system, transponder and Track circuit supply and system integration tasks.

Kong Qi, Deputy General Manager of China Harbour and General Manager of the Malaysia East Railway Project, pointed out that the Malaysia East Coastal Railway is the largest economic and trade cooperation project between China and Malaysia, with significant strategic significance, and is listed as the number one project of CCCC. Signal equipment is the core equipment for train operation safety. It is hoped that CARS, as a leading technology enterprise in the domestic railway industry, can strengthen overall coordination, give full play to the advantages of system integration, closely cooperate with CCCC in project implementation, and jointly build a high-quality benchmark project along the the Belt and Road.

The Madong Coastal Railway Project is the flagship project of the the Belt and Road Initiative, and also the largest single transportation infrastructure project under construction overseas in China. It is contracted by CCCC Harbor and built according to China's national first-class passenger and cargo Railway electrification standards. The total length of the project is 665 kilometers.
