On July 10, 2023, the entire Deyu Expressway in Guizhou Province was completed and put into operation.

Dejiang (Hexing) - Yuqing Expressway in Guizhou Province is one of the newly added expressways in the approved Guizhou Expressway Network Planning (Densification Planning). It is a key implementation project of the 13th Five Year Development Plan of Guizhou Province's Transportation. It has been included in the list of demonstration projects (the first batch) of the centennial safety Taguchi methods of the Ministry of Transport, and is a model project of PPP projects for expressways in Guizhou Province.

The project spans Tongren and Zunyi cities, passing through five counties of Dejiang, Sinan, Fenggang, Shiqian, and Yuqing. The starting point is connected to the Yande and Hangrui highways, and the ending point intersects with the Shibo highway. The total length of the route is 104.2 kilometers, and it is invested and constructed by China Communications First Highway Group. The key control project of the entire line, the Deyu Expressway Wujiang Grand Bridge, has a total length of 1834 meters and a main span of 504 meters. It is currently the world's largest through steel tube concrete arch bridge. The bridge adopts the domestically pioneered fully consolidated and unsupported integrated stress system of arches, columns, and beams. The main arch, columns, and deck beams of the entire bridge are connected by high-strength bolts, with a new structure and strict accuracy. The construction difficulty ranks among the top of similar bridges in the world.

After the completion and opening of Dejiang Yuqing County Expressway, the route mileage from Dejiang County to Yuqing County will be reduced by about 50 kilometers compared with the original expressway, and the driving time will be saved by half an hour. The implementation of the project is of great significance for promoting the construction of a demonstration province for strengthening transportation in the western region of Guizhou, improving the network structure of Guizhou's highways, promoting the development of resources and attracting investment along the route, and promoting the rapid development of regional economy.
