Under the joint promotion of China and China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, China–Pakistan Economic Corridor has made significant progress in many projects, among which one of the most noteworthy achievements is the only transmission project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor - Mehra DC transmission project. The project is an infrastructure project under the framework of China–Pakistan Economic Corridor and the first High-voltage direct current project in Pakistan.

Recently, Pakistan's Motyari Lahore (Mera) DC transmission project, invested and operated by the State Grid Corporation of China, has been operating safely for more than 1000 days since its electrification in September 2020. During the operation of the project, there is also continuous research and innovation in technology, with over 90% of the equipment and technology provided by China. The project was officially put into commercial operation in September 2021 and can transmit over 30 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, providing stable and high-quality electricity to approximately 10 million local households.Editor/Ma Xue
